Float, Lift & Fly Contest 2023

The FLYING WHALES industrial project is rooted in a strong ambition, faithful to the great tradition of French aeronautical engineering. To continue creating vocations and developing expertise in airships, we have joined forces with Planète Sciences to create the Float, Lift and Fly contest.

Every year, teams of students from different schools come together to design and build systems capable of performing tasks related to the transport of heavy loads, considering the specificities of airships. 🎓

For 9 months, these talented students have worked hard to develop all aspects of an airship, including piloting, ballast, gripping, and much more. The long-awaited moment arrived last July when all the teams gathered in Bordeaux for the grand finale! 🏆🎉
