Wind Energy in India: FLYING WHALES transport solution to address logistic challenges
📊 In March 2023, India’s wind power capacity reached around 43 GW, a monumental leap from a mere 1.2 GW in 2000. This achievement has catapulted India to the fourth spot globally in terms of installed wind capacity. Within the next 5 years, India intends to add 22 GW of wind energy capacity.
Last week, we held discussions with representatives from the Indian wind energy sector at FLYING WHALES premises. Like other countries, India is facing logistical challenges regarding wind power projects located in remote areas. LCA60T’s ability to hover, coupled with its 60-ton payload, opens up unprecedented horizons for the implementation of this type of projects.
