🏭 On the occasion of the Quebec Air Transport Association (AQTA) annual conference, FLYING WHALES QUÉBEC officially announced on May 1, 2025, the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the cities of Sherbrooke, Cookshire-Eaton, and the Sherbrooke Regional Airport Development Corporation (CDAS) to establish its North American airship manufacturing plant.

📍 This 50-hectare site, located in Cookshire-Eaton, will host the assembly lines and test infrastructures for the LCA60T airships destined for the North and South American markets — a major milestone in the development of FLYING WHALES QUÉBEC.

This high-impact project, driven by a strong France–Québec partnership, will generate 300 direct and indirect jobs, while contributing to the development of a sustainable aerospace industry in Estrie, supported by local technological and academic ecosystems.

“This logical choice reflects our desire to contribute to the industrial and technological vitality of Sherbrooke and the Estrie region.” – Vincent Guibout, President of FLYING WHALES QUÉBEC and CEO of FLYING WHALES

🤝 A heartfelt thank you to our institutional and local partners for their trust and commitment.
