A new stage in the development of FLYING WHALES

After several years of development within FLYING WHALES, the airport company and airline activities have reached sufficient maturity to be spun off into FLYING WHALES SERVICES.

FLYING WHALES SERVICES will deploy the operating bases for the LCA60T solution, market the transport service, operate the fleet to fulfill our customers’ missions, train its pilots, maintenance operators and ground operators, and so on.

On this occasion, FLYING WHALES strengthens its organization: Vincent GUIBOUT is appointed CEO of FLYING WHALES and Olivier SPECKLIN becomes Technical Director of FLYING WHALES.

A polytechnician with a PhD in space mechanics, Vincent joined MBDA, where he successfully led the development of a number of major programs for the French Army and Navy. He joined FLYING WHALES in 2020 as Vice-CEO, transforming the company, creating FLYING WHALES Québec and taking the LCA60T through its detailed design phase. He was appointed CEO of FLYING WHALES in February 2024, remaining President of FLYING WHALES Québec and Head of Design Organisation.

After studying at Polytechnique and ISAE Supaéro, Olivier specialized in flight control systems at SkyAircraft. Then at Bombardier, where he played a major role in the successful development of the Global 7500 business jet, he joined Safran Electronics & Defense as Systems Architect, before moving to FLYING WHALES in 2020. His significant contribution to the development of the LCA60T led to his appointment as Technical Director in February 2024.

Sébastien BOUGON, President of FLYING WHALES, will become President of FLYING WHALES SERVICES.

This step inaugurates the opening of a new chapter in the history of our company.
