FLYING WHALES continues its ambition to make Côte d’Ivoire a pioneer in the development of airship networks in Africa.
During its transport missions, the LCA60T will load and unload what are referred to as “payloads,” such as timber logs, wind turbine blades, or mobile hospitals.
Six lifting winches operate in a coordinated manner to lift these payloads, weighing up to 60 tonnes.
This system will be subject to certification by EASA and meets all the requirements of the aerospace sector, both in terms of performance and reliability.
To meet this challenge, we relied on the expertise of REEL, a specialist in industrial lifting, to design a winch system compatible with the constraints of weight, performance, and aerospace certification.
