🏆 LIFT Challenge 2025: passing on the passion for airships to the engineers of tomorrow

On June 29 and 30, the final round of the LIFT Challenge took place at the Arkéa Arena in Bordeaux.

Co-organized by FLYING WHALES and Planète Sciences, this annual competition invites teams of engineering students to take on an exciting challenge: to design an airship capable of carrying loads, starting from a blank envelope, essentially, a mini version of the LCA60T!

For this 5th edition, five teams from across France rose to the challenge.

Three of them successfully made it to the final, presenting fully operational airships with flight and lifting systems that were far more advanced than in previous years.
