FLYING WHALES QUEBEC: A Strategic Paris Air Show to Strengthen Our Transatlantic Ties
Supported by a rich program with our North American institutional and industrial partners, the 2025 Paris Air Show provided an exceptional showcase for our major French-Canadian project.
Highlights included the flyover of our future Sherbrooke plant by Quebec’s Minister of Economy, Ms. Fréchette, aboard our flight simulator, the visit of Mr. Dion, Canada’s Ambassador to France, and discussions with Ms. Joly, Canada’s Minister of Industry. These moments reflected both the project’s strong local roots and industrial potential, while opening up dialogue on key strategic topics, including defense.
The Air Show was also an opportunity for FLYING WHALES to spotlight the critical role of the Canadian ecosystem in the development and certification of the LCA60T. First, through highly constructive discussions with Transport Canada, a key partner in our joint EASA-TCCA certification process.
Second, from an industrial perspective, our partners (Honeywell Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Thales Canada, and Delastek) were able to explore the concrete opportunities offered by our airship, made possible thanks to their expertise and technologies in turbogenerator systems, avionics, and crew cabin equipment.
These valuable interactions underscore the strength of our presence in Quebec, and open promising perspectives for the continued international development of FLYING WHALES.
