Accelerating Industrial France: Removing barriers, delivering successful industrial projects
FLYING WHALES was honored to take part in a roundtable organized by the Choiseul Institute, alongside the French Minister for Industry, Sébastien Martin, and numerous stakeholders committed to France’s reindustrialization efforts.
Our CEO, Vincent Guibout, shared FLYING WHALES’ experience in tackling the challenges of establishing an unprecedented airship manufacturing industry.
Our company has recently been recognized as part of the Next40, a major milestone that reflects our progress. Behind this achievement, however, lie four years of work to bring our manufacturing facility in Nouvelle-Aquitaine to life. Like any large-scale industrial project, our site development faced a number of challenges, including administrative procedures, building permits, and coordination among the many stakeholders involved.
At the same time, we benefited from strong support from public authorities, solid partnerships, and the European STEP label, all of which played a decisive role in bringing the project to fruition.
Over several years, our teams worked to build local acceptance for the project through continuous dialogue with elected officials and local communities, while aligning with both national and European public funding mechanisms. A major industrial project cannot simply be imposed, it must be built together with the local community.
