Signing of a strategic cooperation agreement between Madagascar and FLYING WHALES
🤝 A decisive step toward improving logistics access, humanitarian response, and climate resilience in the country.
On April 25 in Antananarivo, as part of President Emmanuel Macron’s State visit, FLYING WHALES and the Ministry of Transport and Meteorology of Madagascar signed a cooperation agreement in the presence of six Malagasy ministers.
This agreement launches a series of joint economic and technical studies aimed at developing an LCA60T airship operating entity in Madagascar.
The project addresses several national priorities in Madagascar: improving logistics access, enabling rapid humanitarian response, modernizing energy infrastructure, deploying mobile medical solutions, managing waste, and reducing the country’s carbon footprint.
It is part of a broader effort to build a pan-African logistics network spanning 22 countries, designed to connect remote areas, ports, and industrial zones using a low-carbon airship fleet.
Madagascar will play a key role as a strategic regional hub for the Indian Ocean, strengthening its resilience to climate-related crises and enhancing its position in regional trade. 🌍
