FLYING WHALES is an extraordinary industrial adventure.

We are developing an air transport solution to support the economic development of landlocked regions and significantly reduce the environmental footprint of cargo transport.

FLYING WHALES has formed a consortium to design, build on three continents and operate worldwide a fleet of LCA60T airships capable of loading and unloading up to 60 tons of cargo (wood, wind turbine blades, containers, mobile hospital, etc.) in hover flight, with a particularly low environmental footprint. This transport system is unique in the world. FLYING WHALES is also developing FLYING WHALES SERVICES, the operating company for this fleet, which will combine the skills of an airline and an airport company.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

As part of our organic growth in France and abroad, we are recruiting a SUPPLIER QUALITY SYSTEMS ENGINEER.

YOUR MISSIONS :

• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers.

• Monitor suppliers and verify their compliance with contractual requirements to ensure on-time and quality deliveries by conducting audits, evaluations, etc.

• Plan and conduct internal and external audits, evaluations, investigations, compliance reviews and risk analyses,

• Support contractual discussions for quality requirements with suppliers.

• Support test activities (ensuring test specimen representativeness, configuration control, test bench qualification, test witnessing, etc.) done in suppliers’ premises.

• Follow-up on internal and external action plans

• Develop quality methods and tools to monitor supplier performance?

• As part of your duties, you will be required to travel to our partners in France and abroad,

• Develop necessary documentation and/or customize the existing documentation necessary for supplier quality activities.

YOUR EDUCATION & EXPERIENCES :

• Degree in engineering preferably in aerospace,

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality Management in preferably aerospace world.

YOUR COMPETENCIES :

• Familiar with EN9100, EASA Part21 Subpart-J and/or Subpart-G,

• Comfortable in preparing documents, reports, presentations, and training programs,

• Experience in performing audits and reviews,

• Experience in problem solving methods and tools,

• Experience in test witnessing, qualification of test benches,

• Familiar with configuration management.
